​HEADZIC  Drive-In Concerts

UK based Headzic (aka John Shapter) is an experimental ambient musician and composer currently residing in Stoke on Trent. His contemplative and atmospheric work evokes a range of feelings from that of deep peace to the excitement of interstellar journeys.

As with many musicians, Covid19 has severely limited the ability to perform.  However, he is bouncing back with recent workshops and a series of larger Drive-In Concerts.  The first of these was at the prestigious World of Wedgwood near Stoke on trent.  Watch the video on the right - it was a fabulous experience!

Drive-In Concerts are an ideal way of providing and accessing live music during these difficult times.  These are Covid-safe events, in which musicians are seperated from attendees and attendees are seperated from each other within their cars.  
The concert is enjoyed via high quality headphones, sound is transmitted from the stage area.  An advantage of this is that the concert is also `silent`!

Hello John afternoon to you I’d like to say what a wonderful time both me & Jane had last night . As a avid concert goer for many years & music lover of vinyl records it was a surreal experience but very pleasant especially in the current climate very soothing & satisfying also . I’m very familiar with ambient music & have listened / collected for many years I’m also a fan of Warp Records whose artist are of this type of electronica also . I didn’t know how Jane would like it but she did & would like to attend again she felt it chilled her out & me too .

We had a great evening and really enjoyed every minute. Please do it again, its something different and somewhere i feel i could come on my own also. The sound quality for me was great and the soothing sounds were just perfect.

Participants are advised:

• Not to come if they are showing any signs or symptoms of Covid19.
• We consider this to be a `Conscious Concert`, definitely no chemical help in enjoying this.
• To show proof of ticket purchase, initially with your car window closed.  Then thy are passed the relevant number of `silent-concert` headphones through the driver`s side window, they are numbered to aid identification.  These have been disinfected and will be passed over by one of us wearing a visor and gloves.
• At all times on site please only open the off-side or driver`s window if they need ventilation, just so adjacent windows aren`t open..  A mask is required if they are visiting the toilets or collecting take-away food.
• Take-away food is usually available.
• The headphones do have an audio-out jack so they could bring their own if you have more comfortable options.
• If there are any problems or issues through the evening a number is available.
• Headphones will be collected at the exit as they leave.
• Finally, please adhere to local Covid rules for this area as they may change at short notice, this is your responsibility.
